ELECT OF GOD (E.O.G.)

Along with being a member of E.O.G., Cathy is a solo artist with goals and idea's of her own. Cathy can not wait to share her thoughts and talents as she brings a soulful and classical twist to the current sound of contemporary, pop, and country gospel music that will leave you saying "Wow, that is good, why didn't I think of that"!

Some of Cathy's solo sounds remind you of artists such as Mandisa, and a soulful version Taylor Swift, while others remind you of the R&B artist Monica.

While the former gives you a idea of Cathy's talents, there is no mistaking the clean vocals and high range that she brings to the table which stands apart and can only be known simply as, "Cathy"!

Elect of God (E.O.G.) is a husband and wife group comprised of former gangsta rapper, Donnie (Tha Saint), and the classically trained, award winning singer, Cathy Jackson. Donnie grew up in Florence Alabama, where at an early age he was writing raps, songs, and making dance routines.

Music came as a natural talent to him which he used to express his feelings about things such as war and inequality.This along with other experiences led Donnie to go against the grain and join a group of hard core gangsta rappers where he gained firsthand knowledge about the sub culture of gangsta rap.

After seeing his rap group being slowly destroyed by part of its members going to state prison, Donnie was forced to make some hard decisions about who he wanted to be in life.

Donnie decided to remove himself from the negativity.By the divine will of God, Donnie began to seek out a higher purpose in life. At the age of 19 he became a Christian and continues to seek The Lords will in his life until this day.

Cathy Jackson grew up in Tallahassee Florida where she began singing from a very young age. At the age of 14 Cathy became a follower of Jesus Christ. She continued to grow in her faith and to develop her vocal talents.

During her freshman year in high school, Cathy won “Superior” at the state level.Due to her vocal talents Cathy was granted the opportunity to be classical trained with a vocal coach from Florida State University (FSU). Cathy went on to win other vocal awards.

Both Donnie and Cathy now live and record out of Tallahassee Florida.Due to their individual life experiences and talents, their music is a mix of raw Hip Hop, Contemporary Gospel, R&B, Pop, and classical elements.

Their special relationship and musical abilities allows them to blend their talents into catchy hooks, and harmonized melodies that produce a sound unique to them.Their style appeals to a very broad range of listeners from all age ranges, genders, and races.

Along with being a member of E.O.G., Donnie "Tha Saint" is also a solo artist.

Take away Cathy's smooth, beautiful vocals, and what do you get?

All you get is the high energy, raw aggression, and delivery of "Tha Saint" that keeps you pumped up for the Lord and cuts right to the heart of the matter.

Even though Donnie has solo projects out, Cathy still blesses the mic with her vocals on his solo projects when called upon.
