There are two things about Tallahassee that hold true. (1) The greater Tallahassee area is a haven of undiscovered talent. (2) The Tallahassee area is a place in need of more family friendly entertainment at a lower cost.

 

It is the goal of Tallahassee's Got Talent to give families great entertainment while at the same time given the undiscovered artists from age 8 and older, a platform to gain the exposure and much needed funding to pursue their dreams.

 

In order to give the artists a better opportunity for success, we have broken the performers down into two age brackets. The age brackets are (8- 16) and (17- older). 

Ages (8 -16) are NOT allowed to be booed as we want to encourage the youth to pursue their dreams, and give them positive feedback. The winner of this bracket will receive a cash prize of $100.

 

Ages (17- older) ARE allowed to be booed. The audience should remember that we do not want to be dream killers and that boo's should be reserved for the most extreme cases i.e. "Your ears are melting, you are becoming physically ill from the singing, you are wondering who gave chewbacca the microphone, You just can't take it anymore"! The winner of this bracket will receive a cash prize of $100.

 

Along with a cash prize, event winners will receive free promotion to thousands of music fans for 30 days on the Tallahassee's Got Talent website and other Elect of God Entertainment social media.

 

JUDGING

 

Judging of the event will be done by the audience in a classical Apollo style way. In the rare event that the winner is unclear, those contestants will have a “SING OFF”. The contestants may then perform the same song again or they may select a different song to perform.

 

The setup of Tallahassee's Got Talent gives artists real honest feedback from an audience who doesn’t know them. If used correctly, artists can take this honest feedback to know if they are ready for the big time or if they need to make a few changes. This feedback has the potential to make them successful preforming artists.

 

People in attendance will get wholesome family friendly entertainment by the best in the land, in all forms of the arts.
